![]() I was wondering if someone could perhaps help me build a driver for better performance on my system. The one thing in common with all of the drivers, is that when it comes to games, none of them allow them to come up at 1440x900. Thanks for the input, but I have tried many, many different drivers. #WINDOWS 7 DRIVER NVIDIA GEFORCE FX 5200 FULL#So, can you offer me any more suggestions on what driver might give me full res on the desktop, as well as in games, internet, etc? Aero is not as important to me. I also wanted to mention that the NVIDIA Control Panel will not open. One Vista driver I tried did give me Aero, but only a 1360 x 768 res. #WINDOWS 7 DRIVER NVIDIA GEFORCE FX 5200 DRIVERS#Seems I need to use XP/2000 based drivers instead. In fact, when I use Vista-based drivers, I do not get the full 1440 x 900 resolution. This also appears to be a driver geared for XP/2000 use and not Vista. The present driver I am using is this one.ġ69.21_forceware_winxp_32bit_english_whql I would like to see my games open at the full 16 x 9, but I don't know if this is possible with this card. The only gripe I still have is that when I play a game like World of Goo, the game is 4 x 3, instead of a full wide-screen image. The one thing I am noticing is that, if I get the full 1440 x 900 resolution of my desktop, I do not get the AERO, which I am fine with. I am back after trying several different drivers from several different spots on the web. If I have left anything out, feel free to ask and I will include it here. So, can anyone here recommend a better modified driver that will unlock whatever my video card is capable of? I would really appreciate any and all suggestions for such a driver. This is a little better, but I still want a 1440 x 900 res. After the update, I now have a resolution of 1360 x 768. I am hoping to gain a resolution of 1440 x 900.Īfter installing the above driver, I updated it using Windows because there was also a small yellow exclamation mark on it. However after first installing it, I only got a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 on my 19" monitor which has a resolution of 1440 x 900. Mine is a Zotac model so I don't know if this makes a difference. It seems that neither Microsoft or Nvidia are going to support this card for Windows 7. ![]() Perhaps someone here can help me find a suitable driver for this card (Nvidia GeForce FX 5200) for use in Windows 7.
